Chairwoman of the Supreme Council of the Polish Hospital Federation becomes the new Poland’s Minister of Health!
On behalf of the Polish Hospital Federation, we extend our sincere congratulations and best wishes for success in reforming Poland’s healthcare system to:
Dr. Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda, MBA – Chairwoman of the Supreme Council of the Polish Hospital Federation, appointed to the Council of Ministers, Government of the Republic of Poland as Minister of Health on 24 Jul 2025.
We are pleased that the position of Minister of Health has been entrusted to a professional dedicated to fostering collaboration among healthcare system stakeholders to create value for patients and healthcare workers. Minister Sobierańska-Grenda brings extensive experience in healthcare organization and management, supported by solid legal and managerial education.
As Chairwoman of the Supreme Council of the Polish Hospital Federation, she actively contributed to the development of proposals and positions on various aspects of the healthcare system, especially regarding reforms to the basic hospital security system and quality standards. During international hospital study visits organized by the Federation, and at congresses of the European Hospital and Healthcare Federation HOPE and International Hospital Federation IHF, in which she actively participated, Dr Sobierańska-Grenda consistently highlighted best international practices and their potential adaptation for the benefit of Polish patients and caregivers.
Together with Minister Sobierańska-Grenda, we emphasize the shared vision of the Polish Hospital Federation: “a sustainable healthcare system beyond divisions.” We wish her success in pursuing this vision in her new governmental role.
The Polish Hospital Federation (Polska Federacja Szpitali PFSz), which brings together hospital and outpatient healthcare entities from across the country—regardless of ownership model, national hospital network membership, specialty profile, location, or size—is the largest and most representative hospital employer organization in Poland. Our mission is to integrate hospitals, because together we achieve more. We aim to reform the healthcare system based on value for the patient, following the Value-Based Healthcare model. We advocate for mechanisms that support the development of coordinated care organizations that maintain patients in optimal health and are rewarded for the health value they deliver to individuals and society.
We declare our readiness for constructive cooperation with Minister Sobierańska-Grenda and her appointed leadership team at the Ministry of Health. We warmly invite the Minister to the Polish Hospital Federation’s Autumn Program Conference on November 27, 2025—a formal invitation will follow.
On behalf of the Polish Hospital Federation,
